If you’re totally confused about whether you’re Arthur or Martha or coming or going and you no longer have a clue what day of the week (let alone month) it is, our Fish meal planner is swimming to the rescue!
Our downloadable and printable A4 fish meal planner will help you get back some semblance of a routine*.
Stare at it often enough and it’ll hopefully inspire you to get back on the healthy eating roundabout.
Fish (particularly fatty or oily fish) is really, really good for you (I’m sure you know that by now) even though it’s now really, really pricey in SA (except, strangely as a takeaway or pub meal). And delicious, as is most seafood, except oysters and mussels, which are only slightly palatable with lashings of lemon or garlic or Tabasco, otherwise they’re just sea slime. I always say that if you have to completely disguise the taste or texture of something so it doesn’t end up being projectiled back onto your plate or lap – or even worse, your date’s – then there’s no point to it whatsoever.
Tuna mayo is one of the best inventions ever (watch out for mercury though).
So back to how fish is so good for you. It contains:
- High-quality protein
- Omega-3 fatty acids
- Essential iodine
- Vitamins D and B2 (riboflavin)
Eating it two to three times weekly can help lower blood pressure, prevent heart disease, boost your immune system and bone health, and improve sleep quality and cognitive function.**
* Assuming you don’t have much of a routine. If you do, though, more power to you and our planners will just make your life (significantly) easier.
** Disclaimer: We’re clearly not part of the medical establishment, so do your own research or speak to a doc or dietitician to confirm any of the points above., specially if you have any seafood or other food allergies. Source (with its own sources): Google Gemini
